This Genuine Mink Cape was made in the late 1950's and has been stored in a plastic zipped bag for all of these years. It belong to my mother and she only wore it a few times. When I was in high school I wore it to the Senior Prom.that was in 1961.
There was a label required under the Federal Trade Commission laws for furs manufactured, imported and sold in the USA. It reads "Fur Label Authority" . This label is in garments made after 1951 and only applies to furs of a certain dollar value.
